Our Contemporary Music Business curriculum helps students develop a formal understanding of how the music industry works and the necessary skills to navigate it. Contemporary Music Business majors will take specialized courses in artist management and development, music publishing, record label operations, and concert and tour promotion. In addition to this traditional coursework, students will interact daily with our faculty who are all currently working in the music industry and will have opportunities to network with successful producers, performers and music business professionals through our Masterclass series. This program is entrepreneurial in nature and will prepare graduates to enter the workforce as well as launch their own businesses.
