Kevin Lively is an educator at the Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma where he teaches music production and engineering. Kevin began his career in Atlanta, Ga. in 1992. After graduating from Full Sail with a degree in audio engineering, he cut his teeth with some of the best in the business, working with top producers and songwriters such as Daryl Simmons, Brendan O’Brien, Babyface and Jermaine Dupri.  He garnered several Gold and Platinum certifications from the RIAA by working with artists Rage Against the Machine, Elton John, Aretha Franklin, Usher and Pink, among others.  In 2000, he relocated to Oklahoma City, his second home after years of being based in Atlanta.

Throughout his career he has worked with many artists, both well known and others more esoteric.  His recording experience has provided him with opportunities to travel with clientele to various studios in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, New York, Nashville and Oklahoma City.  Kevin is a full time mastering engineer at Kevin Lively Mastering.  In addition, he works as a freelance recording/mixing engineer and producer for various clients and studios.  He has been involved with recording music for film, live music venue recordings, TV post-production mixing, live sound engineering, studio installations, and consulting.

Kevin is a member of the Producers and Engineers Wing of the Grammy Academy (NARAS) and a member of the Audio Engineering Society (AES).
